The Hydra Cat Performance Systems TM

How does it work?

Currently there are three types of combustion engines; Spark ignition engine, Diesel engine and Turbine engine. Since their invention nothing has changed, they use the same process to create energy. Because of their primitive origin, they leave a lot of unburned fuel which is the main cause of air pollution, coupled with less than optimum creation of power. To alleviate this, you can add HHO (Hydrogen-Hydrogen-Oxygen) to the combustion chamber, which can be generated by electrolysing water.  If you want to go faster; the system automatically creates more HHO. This is done with our Hydra Cat Performance SystemTM, which increases fuel efficiency, dramatically lowers emissions, greatly improves power output, and lower exhaust temperature.

The Hydra Cat Performance SystemTM is a hydrogen generator that separates water enhanced with an electrolyte (KOH) through electrolysis into hydrogen and oxygen, which produces ionized gas. KOH has been proven to be the best catalyst and it leaves the cell cleaner. The hydrogen and oxygen molecules attach themselves to one of the electrons released by the Potassium Hydroxide electrolytes, stabilizing the gas. The ionized gas is injected into the air intake of the engine where it will mix with the fuel in the engine, producing a complete efficient burn of the fuel. The ionized gas enhances the flame velocity thus permitting the engine or generator to operate with leaner air to gas/diesel mixture than otherwise possible.

Basically, HHO is an additive that is generated on demand which burns SO FAST and Hot, it enhances the slow burning carbon fuels and speeds up the rate of combustion causing more total combustion to the process which translates to maximum mechanical energy and little to no harmful emissions. The Hydra Cat Performance SystemTM  works with gas, diesel, heavy oil, acetylene, propane, kerosene, or LPG.

HHO generators are made with either a wet cell  or a dry cell. A typical wet cell has two electrodes, with the supply beside them, and a set of interconnected neutral plates as seen in the image below. The plates are enclosed inside a container with the electrolyte.  As the HHO is generated it rises to the top of the container and finds its way to the gas outlet. The advantage to this system is that the heat dissipation is low. One disadvantage to using wet cells is that it will eventually cause corrosion to the plates requiring replacement. The other disadvantage is that as the unit continues to run the heat increases causing water vapor which gets mixed in with the HHO gas, decreasing its efficiency.

Because of the disadvantages of the wet cell, manufacturers have tended to go with the dry cell. Looking at the picture of the dry cell below, you can see that the electrolyte is stored in a tank separate from the cell and each plate is protected with a gasket. It is often found that any leaks will usually come from here. The biggest advantage is that the plates and the connections are closed from the wet area. The one main disadvantage it the increased heat produced.

Go Green Marine uses a hybrid cell which incorporates the best of both the wet and dry cell techniques mentioned above. The major advantage is that it doesn’t leak. We use a water seal, so that it is not mechanical, and it can’t fail so a blow back preventer is not needed.

HHO, Hydroxy gas, is an environmentally friendly fuel, nonpolluting, with a low temperature ignition point. By weight, HHO has 3 times more energy than gasoline. The negative is that it is unstable and not safe to store (when mixed with oxygen). That is why we don’t store HHO but produce it on demand making it totally safe. In addition, HHO is lighter than air, and when "spilled" will dissipate very rapidly in the atmosphere, without polluting chemicals or toxins. But HHO is MUCH safer than gasoline, gas when spilled is heavier than air and will collect in lower areas.

With our award-winning Hydra-Cat Performance System TM these tests showed a savings of 20% in fuel economy and a 50% reduction in emissions. This was determined in BC Air Care Research Center study done December 11, 2009 on a 2001 Ford E350 we had outfitted with the Hydra Cat Performance System TM.

This was verified once again on a test done for the City of Kamloops in January 2011. With our enhancements we improved emission reduction to over 80%.

HHO system addition to the engine without any modification resulted in increasing engine torque output by an average of 19.1%, reducing CO emissions by an average of 13.5%, Hydrocarbon emissions by an average of 5% and Specific Fuel Consumption by an average of 14%.

This is because of our computer controlled digital variable control unit. It controls the amount of amperage and ionized Hydrogen and Oxygen gas being used through the RPM’s of the engine. When the vehicle or vessel is idling, the amps and the amount of HHO being produced is reduced. At full throttle, the optimum amount is being produced.

The Hydra Cat Performance System TM does not require any modifications to the engine or generators. It is attached to the front of the radiator or along the firewall close to the battery. The ionized gas hose is attached to the air intake. It requires low maintenance, all you do is add water to the blubber. KOH is added depending on the amount of fuel you use.
It is affordable and adaptable to any vehicle, marine vessel, or generator.
